  • An End-Point Assessment (EPA) is the final evaluation at the end of an apprenticeship. It measures whether an apprentice has gained the knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs) required by their apprenticeship standard. Unlike ongoing assessments during training, EPA is conducted independently by an approved End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) and is mandatory for apprenticeship completion. Successful completion results in a nationally recognised certificate, confirming competence in the chosen occupation.

  • Selecting the right EPAO is a strategic decision. Key factors to consider include:

    • Approval by Ofqual to deliver your apprenticeship standard as an End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO).

    • Independence and robust conflict-of-interest policies.

    • Capacity to manage assessments efficiently, especially during peak periods.

    • Robust quality assurance backed by Ofqual recognition, with fast results turnaround and nationwide assessor coverage.

    • Transparent appeals, re-sit, and reporting processes.

    • Legal and financial stability, with clear contractual terms.
A thorough, criteria-driven approach ensures fair assessments, timely delivery, and compliance with regulatory requirements. goes here
