Your End Point Assessment Journey

Apprenticeships must be validated by an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). Such as Notebook Assessment Services.

An EPAO must be a different to the apprenticeship provider and employers can select their EPAO of choice.
Step 1 - Choosing Your EPAO
It is the role of the EPAO to check that all of the Standards of the Apprenticeship have been met, and that the Apprentice posesses all of the Knowledge, Skills and Requirements expected.


Step 2 - Assigning you EPA Manager
We match you to your Personal EPA Manager who will guide you through the process, answer any questions you may have and ensure the process runs as smootly and efficiently as possible.
 Step 3 - Registration
Accounts are now set up on our Secure Learning Portal. This is where resources are uploaded and bookings are made for Apprentice interviews and knowledge and skills tests.
Step 4 - Going through Gateway'Gateway' is the term used for progressing the Apprentice to the End Point Assessment stage. Your EPA Manager will have agreed all of the steps and evidence requirements needed to get to this stage.
 Step 5 - Evidence uploads
Once the Apprentice passes through Gateway, End Point Assessment begins.

Evidence to support that the Apprentice has met the Apprenticeship Standards is uploaded to the Secure Learning Portal. 
 
Step 6 - Knowledge, Skills and BehavioursIn order to ensure the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour requirements have been met, bookings are made via the Secure Learning Portal for Portfolio Interviews and Tests where required.
 Step 7 - Results and Certification
Once all of the standards have been met the the Apprenticeship can be signed off as complete and Certification takes place.
